MONTHLY FORECAST MAY 2018

Dear Reader

I have been away the past week of May and almost the half of the glorious month of the Sun in Taurus has gone, but I have to tell you, I have been treated to the most beautiful energies of this.
Attended a most amazing musical concert with as many as 20 different bands all packed into 6 hours, performed by young artists who are yet to leave school. Big claps to all of you young musicians.  Is it any wonder then that Adele, Billy Joel and so many stars of Jazz are all Taurus natives…
Here’s what I found on that Taurus: Music’s Raging Bulls. Thanks you guys, I’m having a ball.

I must say, having Venus in Taurus and the Sun transit this month has had a remarkably great beginning.

So, we draw up a chart of the moment, below, thanks to our friends at Astro.com and we have a power packed southern hemisphere of the chart, with loads of action in personal finances, siblings, home related maters, property and real estate and of course, fun like never before.

We all know Venus rules money, banks, finances and personal wealth, in the sign of the bull. This month, we take this apart a bit to know what exactly that means.

ARE WE PROPERTY?

CHANGING THE LAWS TO BE HERE NOW

First off, I have great news to share. We are finally at a historic moment when it comes to money.  It is something that has been building up, during the transit of Venus in Taurus, ruler of Taurus, in the past few weeks, before she left to transit Gemini, the sign of the twins, a few days ago.

She told me in our meditation, that what has to change in property law across time and geographies, is the part where daughters are considered to be property of fathers and husbands or the male next of kin. She is miffed about this archaic law, which she believes is the root cause of many of the problems between the genders and the way how this law keeps women disadvantaged, inspite of all the effort going into gender equality. This change has to come from the Judiciary, ruled by Venus, as ruler of Libra. So it may be that the Supreme Court across time and geographies, will itself move to make this new law, recognising women and men, sons and daughters, not as property of either parent, but as equal custodians of family wealth and legacies, etc. Astrologically, all property is governed by the 4th house, which is a Moksha house.

If property could indeed be possessed then the design of the wheel of time should have put it in an Artha house- resources that can be showed as owned. The 2nd house is an Artha house and you can possess personal wealth and assets here, but, astrologically and ironically, all those assets are also classed in Moksha houses, namely property, especially real estate in the 4th and investments like stocks, bonds, joint assets, inheritances in the 8th, both of which are moksha houses.

So, it's a great joke on them, if people still continue to believe in any idea of 'personal wealth' to hold on to, because, on closer examination, all of it really belongs in the idea of- what gives us moksha or liberation. And true Moksha comes only with service which does not expect anything in return.
A wealthy topic, no doubt. I hope we see more and more people, actually taking the time to understand this; their real wealth position in life and learn to treat themselves as custodians, in relation to all things and people and trees and animals and all of creation.

This means, we stop being aspirational about more and more money. It's about what we can use it for, and about aspiring to become better and better at what we learn, teach, what we can give and what can we can love and nurture. Do all of our goals reflect this?

It is noted that many people live in this way already. They execute wills to reflect this equality, this sense of belonging. This is true affluence.

People are custodians of land, cattle, property, which implies that these things are entrusted to someone to be looked after. Jupiter in Scorpio is NOT going to be very forgiving of people who don't yet understand this lesson, since his abundant world will NOT tolerate any other kind of nonsense. Now, this entrusting, not ownership, mind you, was given to men, sons and so on, by women, in the first place, so that, they can also learn what happens when you are in charge of looking after something or someone well, with care- and to be able to reap the rewards of such effort- of which there are many, including, an infinite amount of affection, love, regard and care which comes back, a hundred times over.

So, pragmatically, Saturn says, it would be good if all constitutional laws can be re-written to leave out words like 'property' and 'ownership' and instead include the above paragraph, strictly. Strictly, because Mars and Saturn are in Capricorn. They are found in the 2nd house of personal values and effects, with Virgo on the MC, which signifies earthy, grounded, practical action and achievement in this regard.

Mercury in Aries in the fifth house is totally going to keep this pay equality, gender equality discussion alive and well into the next few months, as he transits the sixth house of routine work, and moreover, where these changes do not get adopted, due to resistance, Mercury will re-visit the theme and persist, since he retrogrades in July- August 2018. All these matters are supported by the hard working Virgo on the MC, ruled by Mercury. So be that amazing organisation and create pay and gender equality, be more inclusive and bring diversity or you will surely perish by the end of this year. The second half of this year, after August, will be tail lighting technology in our lives, at work, at home at top speed and we all better be prepared to work together by then.

Jupiter in Scorpio, still stressing the importance and abundance of the power of the subconscious is seen here in the 12 house, of hidden matters coming to light. He has been very present as a gentle old man, who also has a great apetite for fun. For instance, we watched Wonder Woman 2017 together and had a ball, a movie I thoroughly enjoyed watching through his lens, since it brought together exactly what happens for Scorpio natives- this magical place between mythology and the reality. And ofcourse, it involved the role of Diana, who comes up in the constellation's narrative. This was awesome, but wait...this was also a great treat to watch, because it is one of the stories of Zeus, Greek for Jupiter, King of the Gods with Diana, going up against Ares, the God of War and defeating him. Rich narrative.

GENDER AND PAY EQUALITY: ZERO GAP MOMENT REACHED!

Venus in Taurus is a happy woman for another reason. She is also really happy that women have cracked a way to negotiate salaries, NOT ANYMORE on the basis of their last salary, but on the basis of their new found value, arising from more honest and transparent data comparisons, emerging from her male counterparts who are showing their support in droves. She acknowledges all of them and you know who you are. This old system will no longer be used since it has become obsolete and now, the people in the business have to understand how to create a fairer system of growth and self-worth, and therefore, market value based on skills and competence.

What's more?

My new combined Vedic and Western Calendar for the month of MAY 2018, which is more accurate than ANY other lunar calendar, is up! Yay! Technical glitches aside, thanks all pixies for helping me with it.

Coming up next month with my update for June, in a special blog: Secrets of Abhijit

Abhijit is the one asterism of the moon which is left out when astrologers use the 27 nakshatra lunar calendar. But why was it left out and not any other asterism? Especially, since Krishna is supposed to have said in the Bhagavad Gita,' I am Abhijit among the Nakshatras'.

Stay tuned!

Saturn leaves Libra on October 5, 2012 and moves into Scorpio.

Saturn in Scorpio: An Angel in Devil's Clothing If you're a Libra, or any other Cardinal sign for that matter (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn), you might be heaving a sigh of relief over the news that Saturn has left Libra for good on October 5. Saturn in Astrology is the planet that represents lessons and limitations. He teaches us through stringent guidelines, and (whether we like it or not) in order to grow we must abide. Saturn is the stern parent that says "As long as you're living under my roof, you're going to do it my way." We have all been there. And as much as we've wanted to move out and go it alone, we knew we had to suck it up because the truth was that we just weren't ready to be on our own. We had to learn a few more lessons first. That's Saturn's job. He targets areas you're weak in and forces you to take a responsible, no nonsense, grown up approach as you handle the situation. The bad news? He does not offer a free...

SPECIAL MOON CALENDAR FOR 2018-2019

Dear Reader I'm a big fan of following the lunar calendars of the world and constantly refer 2 to 3 different ones to find moon positions. Being a student and teacher of astrology, exact positions of planets, especially of the moon becomes very significant, for all purposes of astrology and other related disciplines. For the longest time, I have noticed that Vedic calendars do not include the signs of moon transit, example, Moon in Taurus on so and so days. Conversely, the western ephemeris of the moon has never charted the Vedic nakshatras or 27 lunar mansions, aka asterisms of the moon, in the same document. Researching on this topic, we find that there are 2 systems in practice today, which are the 27 asterisms and the 28 asterisms. What is 12* 51’ 3/7 = 360 divided by 28 days. That number is 12.8571428571428 7 days multiplied by 4 weeks = 28 days How many hours does the moon’s movement through each nakshartha take, in Sun hours? We know the moon takes 2 and a...

VENUS CONJUNCT CHIRON: A SONG FOR YOU

Dear reader I've decided to write a special blog focusing only on the very interesting transit of Venus in Pisces this month March 2018. Venus transits all the signs as she moves in the zodiac, and arrived in her sign of exaltation which is Pisces on February 17, 2018. From what I observe, there was an exact conjunction of Venus and Chiron in 27' Pisces around exactly 5th March 2018, where Chiron has been. Chiron being a slower moving planet, from our point of view on Earth, has been in Pisces since April 2010. 27* Pisces is the exact degree of exaltation for Venus in Pisces. Most astrologers will consider a planet as being exalted anywhere in the sign, but each planet is actually fully exalted in a particular degree of the 30 degrees. What are the odds that this conjunction of Chiron with exalted Venus happens to be in the exact 27' degree of Pisces? Once in forever. So , pay attention. I have long been a fan of classical interpretations of Venus by artists lik...
